Lincoln Park
Situated just north of Old Town, Lincoln Park accommodates many residents from baby stroller-pushers to DePaul University students. Its excellent location and access to various modes of public transit make it ideal for people who work in the Loop. Lincoln Park's boutique, and in some cases Bohemian, style shopping, dining, nightlife, and theaters make the neighborhood feel like a tiny city within a big city.
The community encompasses attractions like The Lincoln Park Zoo, Steppenwolf Theater, Oz Park, and the Biograph Theater. Lincoln Park is also home to two architecturally significant churches: St. Vincent de Paul and St. Josaphat's, one of Chicago's many Polish cathedrals. These monumental edifices tower over the neighborhood, lending the place much of its charm.
Young professionals and college students benefit from the variety of single family homes converted into multi-unit homes in Lincoln Park. Many homes consist of brownstones and greystones which have been turned into condominiums. You can also find the classic Chicago loft or townhouse here.
